It is very famous website which has database and forum related to ZX Spectrum.
You can download freeware and many commercial games which has allowed to be distribute freely.
If you download a title which you cannot find a source about permission, it would become illegal.
If you search information of newer freeware,search at its forum ("Brand new software" section).

Peter McGavin's website. He released "Spectrum Emulator v1.7" which allows you to load the game directly
from audio port of Analogic FDD. So we can enjoy physical unprotected tape on CD32 console + FDD.

Before you decode your physical tape, you should learn basis about decoding and format of sound files.

"MakeTZX" can convert 8bit monaural wave sound to TZX file.
